I know, isn’t it crazy?
It is only fitting that I used the song title and accompanying lyrics from the theme song to my 2014 … that came straight out of 1979. The musical embodiment of my slow but sure effort to accept the endearing concept of ‘life long learning’. The song’s theme and tone is like a reflection of my soul, a shining example of what it is to be the seeker of experience that is me!
Or it’s just the song that played on the night of my most recent break up and I took it as a fated lesson to be learned in musical form. The radio sure is funny like that.
But in all seriousness, and lamely told break up stories aside, the purpose of this blog will be … well, anything I want it to be, really. I have always thrown about the idea of writing a blog, back and forth it used to go in my mind, but then I finally decided to make it a reality rather than hold it off as a distant eventuality. I must warn you though: I am quite out of practice with writing … well, anything. I won’t be crafting any masterpieces or painting majestic scenes out of diverse and elegant vocabulary. Oh no. I would like to try and keep things as simple as possible. I might throw in the obscure word every now and then but only so that you and I can sit back, have a bit of a giggle as we twirl our curly facial hair, clink our double brandy shot glasses together as we hold onto our monocles with the other hand and go back to discussing ‘the industry’.
I’ll let you pick which one. Just not music. We don’t talk about that one no more.
Hopefully I am going to be running into a lot of other bloggers who are out to take the same venture as I am. It’s always nice to meet likeminded kindred spirits out in the cold depths of technological cyberspace, isn’t it? We could even huddle together for warmth. Form a circle and hold hands. Maybe meditate or carve mala beads. All those good bonding exercises!
And that’s not sarcasm by the way. I quite enjoy all of those things above. Especially holding hands.
